Data Protection

The Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPD), together with the Regulation on Security Measures (RD 1720/2007), is the legislation that all public administrations and private companies must fulfill in development Of their activity, use or treat files containing personal data. The Law, among other matters, informs of the rights of the citizen who owns the data; Define and rate the different types of data and their quality; Dictates the rules on the creation of files and the mandatory nature of declaring them before the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, and defines the security measures that must be implemented to ensure the security of the data.
